Donate a bike

We recycle bikes to stop them going into landfill. We claim them, restore and maintain them, then give them out to families and key workers across Inverclyde communities. Our bikes come from donations or from recycling depots.

Dr Bike Sessions

Come join in a session to learn how to maintain your bike for peak performance and safety. Sessions happen throughout the year and across Inverclyde’s towns. Check our events calendar for details of the next few sessions. You can also volunteer to help fix up bikes for others — the bikes that go to local school children, key workers, or others in our communities.

School & Training sessions:

We can provide workshops and training — so you get a recognised qualification — at schools, businesses and community groups. Get in touch if you want to organise a training session. We work with local schools to make sure that all local children who want to do cycling proficiency (Bikeability) have a bike they can use and then keep.

Cycle and Walking Groups

Guided by our team, these sessions offer sessions to help newbies and re-learners the chance to build up their confidence and meet other cyclists at the same time. The routes - give you a tour of the local area and help you build up knowledge of the cycle routes across Inverclyde, Walking Groups are volunteer led and give people a chance to get a little more active in the company of others.

Cycle Training

Getting back on a bike, or getting on one for the first time, can be a bit daunting. So we have beginner classes to build up experience and confidence. We also help with individual route as well as active travel plans

E-bikes

Some of Inverclyde can be a bit hilly. So we’re working with ‘the Cloch Housing Association’ to encourage use of e-bikes to cut the effort required to get about. The ebike scheme means you can hire a bike for a time to get out and about, or pick it up at one place and drop it off at another if you want to use it to get around.
