Aids and Adaptations

The Association arranges for a variety of medical adaptation works to be carried out for our tenants with the works funded by the Scottish Government. Typical adaptation works include the installation of wet floor showers, supplying and fitting handrails and also access ramps, and is for residents who are elderly, infirm, have a disability or have a family member with a disability.

All adaptation requests should be made by the resident directly to the Occupational Therapists at the Inverclyde Centre for Independent Living (ICIL).

Funding may differ from year to year with the amount of work carried out each year dependant on the level of funding obtained.

Once work is completed it will be subject to a post inspection to ensure the quality of the work and the tenant will be asked to complete a short satisfaction survey to assist us in monitoring the quality of our contractor as well as identifying areas where we can improve on how we deliver this service to our residents.
