We were delighted to take part in this year’s Kilt Walk, where our resident walkers took on the Big Stroll, starting from Clydebank to Balloch and covering 14 miles. This event was organised to raise funds for The Anchor (formerly Man On Inverclyde), a vital organisation providing essential services and support to the Inverclyde community.
Cloch Completes Kilt Walk to Support ‘The Anchor’
Posted on 28th Apr 2025
About The Anchor (formerly Man On Inverclyde)
The Anchor is a lifeline for many in Inverclyde, offering crucial mental health support and suicide prevention services. Originally established as Man On Inverclyde in 2020, the charity has rebranded to reflect its inclusive support for all genders and families. The Anchor provides access to information, training, peer support groups, therapies, and other opportunities to help individuals develop coping strategies and live fulfilled lives.
About the Kilt Walk
The Kilt Walk is Scotland's largest and most inclusive fundraising event, enabling participants to raise funds for their chosen charities. With various routes and distances, it offers something for everyone, from seasoned walkers to families. All funds raised go directly to the chosen charity, plus eligible Gift Aid, making it a highly effective way to support important causes.
Our team, consisting of staff and family members of Cloch Housing, embarked on this journey at 10:40 AM on Saturday and completed the walk around 3:00 PM, covering over 30,000 steps. So far, we have managed to raise an amazing £2,027, including gift aid, supporting the crucial work The Anchor does in our community.
A huge well done to our team for taking on this challenge, and a massive thank you to everyone who has contributed to making this fundraiser such a success. We greatly appreciate your support. Our fundraising page will remain open for the next week or so, allowing more people to contribute to this worthy cause.
